Q What is an FSA or HSA and what are the benefits?

An FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and an HSA (Health Savings Account) are tax-advantaged accounts for medical expenses but differ in key aspects. FSAs, employer-sponsored, allow employees to use pre-tax dollars for medical expenses such as prescriptions and copays, but typically feature a "use-it-or-lose-it" policy where funds must be used within the plan year. HSAs are available to those with a high-deductible health plan and offer more flexibility, allowing funds to roll over annually.

Q: Can I use my HSA or FSA to purchase Elemind?

Yes. Elemind is eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement for qualifying customers. During checkout, Flex provides a quick telehealth assessment to determine eligibility. If approved, you can proceed with payment or submit for reimbursement.

Q: What is a qualified customer?

HSA and FSA eligibility is determined by the IRS under Section 213(d), which sets the rules for qualifying medical expenses. Flex provides an independent telehealth assessment to determine whether a Letter of Medical Necessity can be issued for your individual circumstances. Eligibility and reimbursement decisions are made by Flex and your plan administrator — not by Elemind.

Q: How can I spend my FSA or HSA funds at Elemind?

To use your HSA or FSA card, add products to your cart as usual. At checkout, select “Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA,” enter your HSA or FSA card details, and complete your purchase. If you don’t see this option, you may be in Shop Pay - select “checkout as guest” to view all available payment methods.

Q: I don’t have an HSA or FSA card. Can I still use my HSA/FSA funds?

Yes. You can still select “Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA” at checkout and use a regular credit or debit card. After completing your purchase, log in to the Flex consumer portal at app.withflex.com using the same email to download your itemized receipt for reimbursement.

Q: Do HSA/FSA purchases qualify for the 30-day money-back guarantee? 

To align with common HSA/FSA plan administrator practices and prevent reimbursement issues, HSA/FSA purchases are not eligible for our 30-day money-back guarantee during Q4 (Oct–Dec). Eligibility outside Q4 is under review and may be updated; check this page for the latest policy.
